Conor McGregor Asked When He's Fighting Charles Oliveira And The UFC Champion Responded

Conor McGregor has set his sights on fighting UFC lightweight champions Charles Oliveira, with the Brazilian responding to the Irishman's call out.

Oliviera was in action on Saturday night at UFC 269, defending his lightweight title by stopping Dustin Poirier in the third round with a submission.
After the fight, the champion bumped into Justin Gaethje, who congratulated him on the win, who is expected to be the 32-year-old's next title challenger.
However McGregor is never far from the title picture, mainly because he inserts himself into it with the will of his tweets, and now he's calling for a fight with Oliviera, asking social media when it was happening.

The 33-year-old wasn't done there either, suggesting that he wants Ireland vs Brazil II, having previously fought Jose Aldo and insulted the South American people during the build up to that rivalry.

Oliveira then replied to a tweet of McGregor with the belt on saying, "What do you think about this weekend?
"I'm ready, I'm still in town, and there's an up&coming event. Let's go baby"

McGregor then referenced his fight with Aldo, that first saw him become an undisputed UFC champion, having previously been interim, saying "In Brazil they shouted 'you will die' but McGregor is still here."

It's been a tough year for McGregor in terms of his 'day job,' with the former two weight champion out of action since breaking his leg in the summer, in a loss to Poirier.
It was the Notorious' second defeat to the Diamond in 2021, and even led to questions about his lifestyle if he wants to be successful in UFC again.

Dana White said on the weekend that it would be Gaethje, who defeated Michael Chandler in his last outing, who would be the next title challenger.
McGregor on the other hand has up to six opponents on his radar for his comeback at some point in 2022.
