Thierry Henry's reaction to seeing Cristiano Ronaldo's EA FC 24 card is incredible

Thierry Henry couldn't believe his eyes upon seeing Cristiano Ronaldo's stats on EA Sports FC 24.

Ronaldo has suffered a severe downgrade in EA Sports FC following a difficult 2023 campaign which saw his acrimonious departure from Manchester United and the Portuguese superstar benched for his country at the Qatar World Cup.

The five time Ballon d'Or winner has since rediscovered his form in Saudi Arabia for Al Nassr, scoring 24 goals and providing seven assists in 28 games after making the switch to the Middle East.

More recently, Ronaldo scored an 87th minute penalty winner to keep Al Nassr's title hopes alive. While he scored an impressive brace against Al Ahli, finding the back of the net through a plume of yellow smoke.

However, the 38-year-old's purple patch has come a little late for EA, who dropped his overall rating from a 90 to 86, with a number of his key stats taking a major hit.

In contrast, Lionel Messi has been awarded a rating of 90, with current Ballon d'Or holder Karim Benzema also rated 90.

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Henry was left dumbfounded at seeing Ronaldo's numbers at the launch of FC 24.

The Frenchman took part in a guessing game when he was shown a card belonging to an unnamed Saudi League player.

Henry looked puzzled as he analysed the shooting, passing and dribbling stats, with the former Barcelona striker still none the wiser.

When it was revealed to be Ronaldo, Henry looked again, before exclaiming: "No, that's not him."

After the realisation set in, Henry's eyes widened as he shouted "Wow, that's bad!"

While EA Sports believe Ronaldo may be past his best, the former Real Madrid star reckons he has plenty more in the tank.

Speaking after his side's dramatic 4-3 win over rivals Al-Ahli, Ronaldo told reporters: "They say Ronaldo is done… but it’s not true.

“I will continue to play until my legs say: ‘Cristiano, I'm done'.

“I still have a lot. I still love football and scoring goals. I still love winning.

“They say I'm done but I'm still proving that it's not true."
