England's potential groups for Euros as best and worst case scenario shown

England's best and worst case scenarios for the Euro 2024 draw have been revealed.

Gareth Southgate's side topped their qualifying group after taking 20 points from eight games in an unbeaten campaign.

England finished off with a 1-1 draw against North Macedonia at the Tose Proeski Arena and will be one of the top seeds when the draw is made in Hamburg, Germany on Saturday 2 December.

The fact they are group winners and seeded means they are likely to avoid plenty of big guns but Sky Sports have worked out England's potential opponents in the showpiece.

There are still a number of final group fixtures still pending, as well as the play-off round, but Sky went off world rankings and qualified sides.

The channel decided that a favourable draw for England would see them paired with Albania, Slovenia and Serbia.

However, there is a situation whereby they could end up playing Denmark, Netherlands and Croatia - who they always seem to end up playing in international football.

England have secured their place in the tournament alongside 19 other nations, including hosts Germany, France, Spain, Scotland and Italy - who took second place in Group C after Ukraine were denied a 93rd minute penalty in the 0-0 draw.

24 sides will be present in the Euros, with the remaining three having to go through the play-off format.

A total of 12 teams will contest the play-offs, with performance in the 2022-23 Nations League the key to earning a spot.

One of Wales and Croatia will take the final automatic spot before we head into the three-path play-off format which takes place in March.

There will be six semi-final fixtures, which will then become three finals to determine the last trio of sides.

England can sit back and relax for now, having already secured their top spot with a win over Italy in October.

Finalists three years ago, the Three Lions are the favourites to all the way this time.

Here are the possible scenarios for England:
