Josh Addo-Carr says he 'loves giving back' to fans, Premier League players should take note

NRL star Josh Addo-Carr has been praised in recent times for being a fantastic ambassador for the sport, and it’s something Premier League players should take note of.
The Bulldogs winger was recently praised for his generous act of kindness in which he spent 20 minutes outside CommBank Stadium meeting fans and signing autographs.
And he did it all with his foot in a boot as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Big Sports Breakfast host Phil Rothfield recently explained: “He’s in a moon boot, and he’s struggling with his headspace, it’s a really unfortunate long-term injury.
“He was in the carpark at CommBank Stadium for 20 minutes with his ankle in the boot signing autographs.”
Co-host Ray Thomas added: “He was hobbling across towards his car and he got absolutely mobbed, and he stayed there and took every photo, signed every autograph … it was just great stuff.
“People were getting out of their cars to come and introduce themselves, it was tremendous.”
Addo-Carr spoke to SPORTbible ahead of the NRL Magic Round and says his actions toward footy fans are just ‘normal for me’.
He told SPORTbible: “I just love giving back and putting smiles on faces. I think that’s what it’s all about.
“You don’t know who is going through a tough time at the moment, someone could be going through a tough time that you meet and all they want is a photo and a little chat.
“So to put a smile on their faces is what I’ve always thought about when meeting people and seeing people.”
It’s a far cry from the reaction some Premier League stars have been receiving over in England for their actions toward their fans.
Earlier this week, a number of Leeds United players were criticised after footage emerged of them ‘ignoring’ fans as they left their team hotel.

The clip shows one young fan waving at multiple players without getting any interaction, whatsoever.
Meanwhile, last month, Arsenal were called out online for a video posted to the club’s social media that shows many players signing a young fan’s shirt.
However, they were slammed for seemingly ignoring the young girl, with little to no acknowledgement going her way.
The NRL is lucky to have an ambassador such as Addo-Carr.
