Mykhailo Mudryk has 'blamed Chelsea teammates' for his struggles as private chat 'leaked'

Mykhailo Mudryk has blamed his Chelsea teammates for his struggles in west London, according to his close friend Georgiy Sudakov.

It is approaching Mudryk's one-year anniversary since he made the £88 million switch to Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk.

However, the Ukranian, much like the rest of the Chelsea squad, has struggled for consistency, scoring just two goals in the Premier League since his arrival in England.

After scoring a freak chip over David Raya during a 2-2 draw with Arsenal back in October, Mudryk hasn't started a game for the Blues.

Mauricio Pochettino has preferred Raheem Sterling and new signing Cole Palmer on either flank, with Mudryk benched for the last three league games running.

However, former teammate Sudakov, who played alongside the 22-year-old at Shakhtar, has revealed the contents of a conversation in which Mudryk claimed that his teammates are the problem.

"Misha has got huge potential," he said in an interview with The Telegraph earlier this month.

"Perhaps one of the reasons why you don't see him at the top level in England yet is because, he is saying, there is not such a player like [me] who constantly delivers top passes and assists for him."

Sudakov's comments may have simply been a method of promoting his own skillset to Chelsea, who have been linked with the 21-year-old midfielder.

Although he is at risk of damaging Mudryk's reputation and potential relationships with players at the club.

The Blues were on the receiving end of a 4-1 thrashing from Newcastle on the weekend, as they slipped to 10th in the Premier League table.

They face Brighton next in the Premier League table, where Mudryk will be hoping to be given an opportunity in the starting lineup.
