Tom Brady’s bar bill revealed after NFL great buys Birmingham City fans a drink

NFL hero Tom Brady’s bar bill has been revealed after he stunned Birmingham City fans by buying everyone a drink in the pub.

Earlier in the month, it was revealed that Brady had entered a partnership with Knighthead Capital Management LLC to become a minority owner of Birmingham.

On Saturday, Brady, along with club chairman Tom Wagner were spotted in a pub amongst Birmingham fans prior to their Championship fixture against Leeds United.

According to Birmingham Live, Brady splashed out £150 on a round and he also left behind a £400 tab for the bar staff to spend.

The pub’s owner, Antoin McGroarty told Birmingham Live: “I had no idea they were coming, out of sheer coincidence I'd asked a photographer to come in for the day to take some shots.

“I was standing behind the bar and it was such a shock. I couldn't believe it. He's probably the biggest sports star in the world and to pop into our pub, in the middle of small heath, it was amazing.”

He continued: “The two Toms [Brady and Wagner] were absolutely brilliant, they had selfies with absolutely everyone. They bought beer for everyone that was in there. They couldn't have been nicer. They came here had a beer and a chat with everybody. It don't come much bigger than Tom Brady."

After investing in the club, Brady said: “Birmingham City is an iconic club with so much history and passion and to be part of the Blues is a real honour for me.

“BCFC is built on teamwork and determination and I’m excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our Second City club second to none.”

He added: “I’ve been part of some amazing teams in my day, and I’m looking forward to applying my perspective to create that same success here in Birmingham.”
